The hire with Essential cover, VAT and airport meet and greet. Zero Excess, extras and any fees are added when you book, and you see the new total before you reserve. Fuel, parking, the ferry and any fines are not included, because those depend on how you use the car.

Essential is included: comprehensive insurance with an excess of €1,800 to €4,000, depending on the car. Zero Excess is €21 a day, or €35 on the 7-seater and minibus. It takes the excess to €0, covers tyres, glass, roof and undercarriage, and brings the deposit down to €300.

Yes. A separate policy can pay you back after a claim, but we still hold the full deposit on your card and you pay us first.

We hold it on your card when you collect the car and release it when the car comes back as agreed. It is €1,800 to €4,000 depending on the car, and €300 with Zero Excess. It is a hold, not a payment. Your bank then takes up to seven working days to show the money again.

Yes, for the €300 deposit with Zero Excess, as long as it is a physical Visa or Mastercard in the main driver's name. Without Zero Excess, bring a credit card in the main driver's name.

When you collect the car. Reserving online costs nothing, and you can cancel free up to 48 hours before pick-up.

In the arrivals hall at Malta International Airport, every day from 08:00 to 02:00. We will be holding your name. There is no shuttle bus and no off-site depot. A pick-up before 08:00 or from 20:00 adds €25.

Give us your flight number when you book and we track it. Landing after 02:00? Tell us when you book and we will arrange it.

You get that car or a similar one in the same class, with the same gearbox and seats. If we cannot supply your class, you get a higher class at no charge, or a full refund.

No. The car may not leave the Maltese islands. Gozo is fine, and your cover comes with you.
